Groups is built for connection! Both in-person and online events enhance these connections. You can create events individually or in bulk for many groups at once.
Administrators can create and edit events for any group from the main Calendar tab or the individual group's Events tab.
Group leaders can create and edit events for groups they lead from the individual group's Events tab or from Church Center.
Schedule events to let people know when your groups will meet. Events created in Groups appear in Church Center.

Select the Groups page in the top navigation.

Choose a group from the list to open the individual group page.

Select the Events tab in the left sidebar.

Select Create a new event in the top right.

Add your event's details to the following sections:

Event Details: Add the event name and description.

Image: Add an event image to display in Church Center and Calendar (if you use the Groups feed to sync events).

Select Upload image to choose your own image, or select Free photos to choose a free stock image.

If you don't add an event image, the Calendar feed event will display the group image by default.

Schedule: Set the meeting date and time. If this is a one-time event, select Never from the Repeat dropdown. Otherwise, choose the appropriate frequency and set the date of the final instance.

Location: Set a physical location or provide a virtual link.

Event Reminders: Choose if and when to send automated reminder emails.

RSVPs: Choose whether to track RSVPs for this event. RSVPs allow group members to confirm their attendance for upcoming events through reminder emails or directly on Church Center. Uncheck this box if you don't want to capture responses for your event.

Select Create event to add it to your group calendar.
Once an event has been created, you can edit it or delete it. To edit an event:

Select the Groups page in the top navigation.

Choose a group from the list to open the individual group page.

Select the Events tab in the left sidebar.

Select the event you want to edit from the event list below the calendar.

On the event page, select Edit event in the top right.

Update any of the following settings. If the event is set in the past, you cannot edit the date, time, event reminders, or RSVP settings.

Select Save event at the bottom right of the page to apply your changes.
When editing a recurring event, you can choose Save this event to make changes to this date only or select Save this event and all occurrences after it to change this date and all future instances.
Important
If you use the Groups feed to sync events to Planning Center Calendar, selecting Save this event removes this event instance from the recurring Calendar series. Since it's no longer connected to the recurring series, you must update the rooms and resources for this event separately.
After adding events to your group's calendar, you can use the Events tab to see an overview of events two months at a time.

Select the Groups page in the top navigation.

Choose a group from the list to open its group page.

Select the Events tab in the left sidebar to see your group's events for this month and the following month.

Use the left and right arrows on the calendar to scroll through past and future events, two months at a time.

Select a dotted date from the calendar to highlight that event in the list below.

Review your events' dates and times, names, statuses, notes, and RSVPs in the corresponding columns.

Select Send now in the Reminder column to manually send a reminder email.

Events that are promoted from a connected Calendar event have the 🗓️ Planning Center Calendar icon next to them. If you have Calendar permissions, you can select View in Calendar to manage the event's details in Calendar.
