Add a Member to a Group (Church Center)

As a group leader, you can add new members during a group meeting by inviting people to join your group right from the Church Center web or app!

Note

In Church Center, a leader can add people to a group and respond to requests to join the group. If you need to search the database for a potential member to add, you'll need to do that from Groups Admin.

Add a Person from the Members Tab

From a group Members tab, select Add member.

There are two ways you can add a person to the group.

  1. Have the new member scan the QR code to join the group.

  2. Add a person to the group using the sharing settings on your device.

After the person requests to join, you can approve their membership request.

Add a Person When Taking Attendance

When you're taking attendance for an event, you can add a new member or convert a visitor to a member.

From the event attendance list, select Add member.

There are three ways you can add a person to the group.

  1. Have the new member scan the QR code to join the group.

  2. Add a person to the group using the sharing settings on your device.

  3. Select the link to go to the attendance form in Groups Admin, where you can change a visitor to a member.

Note

You will only see the option to add a visitor if your group is set up for leaders to add members.

After the person requests to join, you can approve their membership request.

Approve Membership Requests

From the Members tab, select Review request.

Select Manage to add the person to the group or decline the request.
